I exercise self-restraint, act calmly, and remove fear and confusion from myself and my family as much as possible.
At Home

If I live in the lower floors or a ground floor house, I have to leave the house immediately, alert my family members of the need to do so, and take the children and the elderly outside if possible.
I should not attempt to start a fire, such as candles, lighters, etc. and in the case they are lit, I should turn them off.
If I cannot find sturdy furniture, I lay against the inner wall.
Outside The House
If the earthquake shaking starts while you are outside the house?
I should not try to enter the house and stay outside instead, as that is safer for my family and me.
I should stay away from buildings, electricity poles, and bridges, and instead head to empty places if possible.
In a Vehicle
If the earthquake shaking starts while you are in a vehicle
I have to park the vehicle in a safe place, away from bridges and electricity poles, in a manner that does not obstruct traffic, and stay inside the vehicle.
I follow the instructions via the radio and available means of communication.
After Earthquakes
What should I do after an earthquake?
I try to reach the gas cylinders and close the valves.
I try to disconnect the electric power to the house from the main panel.
If the water pipes are broken, I should close the house’s main valve, if possible.
Contact the competent authorities in the event of human injures or serious damages.
Aftershocks are possible; therefore, it is necessary to prepare for this by reaching safer places.
